Xintong Wei is an ETICA Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the American University of Armenia, working on the Normativity of Political Deliberation and Epistemic Democracy. She was the Horizon 2020 project PERITIA Research Fellow at the University College Dublin (2024-2025), a Lecturer at the University of Stirling (2023-2024) and a Postdoctoral Research Associate (2022-2023) of the AHRC-sponsored research project ‘Varieties of Risk’ at the University of Edinburgh. She was the recipient of the 2021-2022 Analysis Studentship and the 2020-2021 Jacobsen Studentship.
She works mainly in the intersection of Epistemology, Theories of Normativity and Political Philosophy, with a focus on the role of truth in political deliberation and democratic legitimacy; epistemic agency; and the epistemology of political disagreement. She received her PhD from the St.Andrews/Stirling Philosophy Graduate Programme (SASP), under the supervision of Prof. Philip Ebert and Prof. Crispin Wright. Her PhD defends a novel account of the truth norm of belief based on and was part of the Templeton Foundation project “Knowledge Beyond Natural Science”. Her publications can be found here:
