Margherita is a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy of science and epistemology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. Her Ph.D. project combines qualitative studies, observational studies and randomized field experiments to obtain empirical insights on science disinformation discrimination skills of young adults and the factors that influence it. Her research focuses on three main areas: teenagers’ baseline interaction with science (dis)information, the politicisation of science and its role in the tension between cognition and political ideology (research conducted at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research at the University of Amsterdam), and the effectiveness of media literacy interventions targeting high school students.
